Shorin-Ryu is a traditional form of karate. It is the oldest karate style in the world. Particularly, Seibukan karate is a style that originated from Okinawa, Japan. It emphasizes the learning of movements correctly and precisely. Shorin-Ryu is not a soft or hard style. It is powerful, precise and graceful.
Over the years, in many of the karate styles, the original names of katas and techniques have been changed due to political reasons, but this not the case with Shorin-Ryu. Self-defence, fierceness and inner security are some of the basic principles of this style. Hand and feet are both used for fighting on an equal basis.
We are proud and privileged to say that we are learning and teaching the Shorin-Ryu style practically the same way that the old Okinawan karate masters learnt and taught their students.
